The student-teacher relationship

In our lessons, the focus is entirely on you. Learning a language is a deeply personal journey, and while I’m here to guide and support you, the real work happens within you. I can’t force knowledge into your brain.

I’m more like a companion on your path, helping you discover the best ways to acquire and retain what you learn.

It’s a collaborative process, where your efforts, curiosity, and dedication are at the center of everything we do.

Respect is a cornerstone of our relationship. It goes both ways.

I respect your time, your efforts, and your learning style, and I expect the same in return.

Weekends and night times are precious, that's why my contact email is active only during business time (10am-7pm, Monday to Friday)

Your learning isn’t limited to our lessons. I’ll recommend podcasts, videos, and other real-life resources that align with your interests, so you can keep developing your listening and comprehension skills outside of class.

This isn’t about memorizing lists of words, it’s about immersing yourself in the language !

I hope in exchange you'll recommend me your favorite book, or the last movie you've watched :)

I will teach you everything I know about French, but don't forget :

Feedback is CRUCIAL in our process.

On one side, I want you to feel comfortable being honest with me : whether something isn’t working for you, you feel bored or you want to take a break.

On the other, I'll always be upfront with you about your progress, and together, we’ll adjust our approach as needed to keep you moving forward.

We all have our good and bad days, being transparent about it will help us navigate our classes.

It is proven that a positive, friendly atmosphere is essential for learning.

I’m not here to be cold or distant (spoiler : I don't know how to do that)

I’m here to share a laugh with you, to make our time together something you look forward to.

And yes, your mistakes can be fun too, don't put too much pressure on yourself !
